When the availability of natural and energy resources is getting more difficult and expensive, the need to develop a sustainable development project for society makes that we look for efficiency in all of our activities; how to obtain more and better results with less resources, which leads to less production costs.

Making use of Energy Efficiency leads to energy savings, circumstances that makes it more favorable through the combination of less expensive energy sources and the usage of technologies that use energy in an efficient way. 

Energy Efficiency can be defined as: “reduction of energy consumption maintaining the same energy services, without reducing our quality of life, protecting the environment, assuring supply and fomenting sustainable usage behaviour". 

Although normally we always refer to electric energy, for being most used in the industry sector, Energy Efficiency can include all types of energy sources used, like diesel oil, gas, steam, etc.

Energy Efficiency is not only about using the latest technologies, but on how to use and administrate available energy resources in a capable and effective way, what means that energy management processes should be developed.
